Day 1.
Morning arrival in Moscow and meeting with an English-speaking company representative.
You will be taken on a sightseeing tour of Moscow in a business class vehicle. Your tour of Moscow will take approximately 3 hours. You will be shown the most prominent historic places like world-renowned Red Square and green area of Alexander Gardens. Walk along the Manezh square. Then you will drive past Sophia Embankment, see the Cathedral of Christ the Savior and enjoy the imposing views of the Kremlin from Sophia Embankment where the former British Embassy stands – itself an imposing building formerly belonging to a sugar merchant, appreciate the size of the monument to Peter the Great and appreciate the size of the House on the Embankment. While touring, you will pass splendid and well-known sites of Moscow as the Novodevishy Monastery with its Cemetary, the biggest cemetery for noted people. We are sure the massive MGY (Moscow State University) building will impress you. The observation point at Sparrow Hills will give you a panoramic view of most of Moscow. Many more of attractive places will be waiting for you! Among them there are Poklonnaya Hill, Kutuzov Avenue, New Arbat Street, Boulevard ring, and squares Theatre Square, Tverskaya Street and Pushkin Square. And remember that this is just the first day!
Following the tour we will have lunch at one of the city’s top restaurants and then transfer to our hunting destination (about 300 km from Moscow). You will be accommodated in a luxurious private hotel in the centre of the region.
Then you will dine and have free time to relax and prepare for the next day.
Day 2.
You will have breakfast in the hotel.
Then you will be driven to the hunting spot in a picturesque place on a river bank situated in 60 km from the town.
You will have a forty-minute briefing on falconry, types of falcons, and ways of teaching the birds and how to rear them. You will even be able to get close to the falcon and you will be shown how it hunts. Our Falconers will explain all anatomical areas of the bird and how they are perfectly designed for hunting. You will be given detailed explanations about most popular birds.
Then we will have our Falcon demonstration that would take approximately thirty minutes. You will see how the birds are prepared, understand how to call-out, and beckon the falcon enticing it with a lure (live prey is not used). You will practice some of the elements shown to you. You will learn how to launch the bird and then how to entice it with the ‘prey’ and retrieve the falcon on your glove.
Afterwards, we start the most exciting part of the program – actually hunting with birds of prey themselves (approx.-40 minutes).
Once the training and demonstration is complete, our falconers will then take you to try out your new skills in a hunt. You will move to the hunting-grounds about 2-3 km and you will be given 6-8 birds for the period of the hunt. You will have a chance to hunt on your own for a couple of partridges or pheasants.
Our specialists will assist you any time and offer help in case needed. We really believe it will be exciting and memorable performance for the lovers of adventures!
After a successful hunt you will be taken back to have barbeque of the birds’ catches, prepared by our professional chiefs.
During this royal feast you might feel a little as though you had been invited by the Tsar while tasting traditional dishes in a pleasant place of nature in the wild. Then you will be presented a souvenir in the form of a certificate showing your participation as a Falconer.
Then you will drive back to the hotel and, later, dine in the restaurant.
Day 3.
This day you are to check-out following which we will take you for a 2-hour sightseeing tour of the city in the company а English-speaking guide-interpreter (or other languages. Please let us know) in the business class vehicle. You will be shown historical monuments and many of interesting landmarks. The city tour will be followed by lunch at a restaurant.
When you arrive in Moscow, we will check you into your accommodation in a 5-star hotel where you will have the time on your own. Later in the evening we will invite you to dine with us.
Day 4.
After check-out you will be driven to the airport to depart from Russia.
