First Day

After arriving to Krasnoyarsk our English speaking representative will help you with accommodation in hotel. After short rest and lunch we will take you to sightseeing tour. We will visit Paraskovya Pyatnitsa Chapel (1865) – the symbol of Krasnoyarsk, which is situated on “Karaylnaya” (“Guard”) Mountain. You will enjoy the magnificent view on the city, the Yenisey River, Sayan Mountains and natural park “Stolby”. The next stop will be near Blagovetchensky Cathedral. The Regional Museum is considered the best historical and ethnographical museums in Siberia. You will learn a lot about culture and life style of the people who lived on this territory. In the evening you will have welcoming dinner.

Second Day

After breakfast in the hotel we will go to Memorial House of the Great Russian artist V. Surikov. There is a wooden house of the beginning of 19 century with all the features of that period (furniture, design, utensils and service buildings). After visiting the souvenirs’ shops we will have lunch.

This afternoon we will spend in natural park “Stolby” You will walk (3 km) with accompany of experienced guide in touristic zone and whose who seek of adventures can try to climb up the rock. During the tour you will learn a lot of professional climbers’ stories. The shape of each rock is so unique that each of them has its own name, such as Grandfather, First, Elephant, Lion’s Gate and so on. After long day you will have dinner and rest in the hotel.

Third Day

In the morning after check out from hotel we will go to the south and will reach the bottom of Sayan Mountains. We will cross the Yenisey River twice and will move along one of the biggest dams in the world - Krasnoyarsk hydroelectric dam. It was built in 1972 and as a result of the damming, Krasnoyarsk Sea was created. It is 388 km (241 mi) in length and 15 km (9 mi) in width at its widest, has an average depth of 36.6 m (120.1 ft), and a depth of 105 m (344 ft) near the dam. If we get lucky we can see the tremendous event – dam release.

Today for lunch we will have picnic among the ancient monuments of Scythian culture of VIII-VII century BC. After lunch those who wish to enjoy the stunning view of the Krasnoyarsk Sea may climb the nearest hill. Later we will have a stop in the historical village Shushenskoe (the State Ethnographical Museum), which was reserved exactly in the same conditions as it was in 19-20 centuries. You will visit a real tavern where you will be served a cup of tea and traditional dishes in real Siberian izba. In the evening we will accommodate in Gladenkaya Ski Resort, located near the Sayano-Shushenskaya hydroelectric power station. Free time for walking around and visiting to the Spa-complex (extra charge). Dinner.

Fourth Day

After breakfast we will visit the village Tanzibei. You will have chance to see the real country side with warm hospitality of local people. You will try home made dishes such as taste herb tea, home jam, home vodka and pastry. You will go to the residents’ houses, get familiar with their traditions. If you want you can buy hand made things – knitted clothes, wooden souvenirs and many others. After lunch we will keep going to Tuva, where you will see the Sleeping Sayan – the contour of the mountain repeats the shape of sleeping warrior. The guide will tell you legend of this place. We will stop in observation point, where you will enjoy the beautiful view of Tuva Republic. Closer to the evening group comes to Tuva. It’s amazing but as soon as the bus crosses the border between Krasnoyarsk region and Tuva the landscape changes. It seems that you arrive to another planet and another age. There are almost no signs of civilization on the most part of Tuva territory, steppes and sharp mountains are over the hundreds kilometers. We will make stop in “Arjaan II” – the archeological site of Scythian king and his wife grave. The scientists found beautiful gold jewellery that was made in VII century BC but still they amaze.

In the evening we will accommodate on the bank of the Biy-Khem River in the yurts’ complex. We offer you to spend this night in the real thick felt yurts built by tuvians especially for the tourists and feel as real wanderer.

After dinner we offer you the performance with the traditional throat singing – “khoomei”. The throat singing is a fantastical capability of the Tuva people (and some other Siberian nationalities) to emit simultaneously two or three sounds of different tone and to sustain the same sound for 25-30 seconds without taking a breath. If you close your eyes it is hard to believe that the sounds are emitted by a person and not by a musical instrument.

Fifth day

After breakfast we start the sightseeing tour of Kizyl – the capital of Tuva. This city was established in 1914 in the place of the joining of the rivers Biy-Khem (Big Yenisey) and Ka-Khem (Small Yenisey). Now it is green cozy town. You will visit the Geographical Centre of Asia which is on the bank of the Yenisey River and marked with sign. Staying in Tuva would be incomplete without visit of Buddhist monastery where you will hear the sermon of the llama. After it we will visit Shaman clinic, where you will learn about traditions, rituals and treatment abilities. If you wish you can have private shaman’s consultation. After lunch at the restaurant we will visit the National Museum of Tuva, where you will see archeological evidences from Bronze Age. The exposition tells about traditions of the people who lived in this territory.

In the evening you will have dinner with traditional dishes of Tuvan cuisine. After dinner you will take part in a bewitching show: a shamans’ kamlaniye. During this show several shamans will talk with spirits. Some people say that the wishes which they made during this ritual come true.

Sixth Day

During this day we will cross Tuva from the East to the West and will reach the boarder of Khakassia. We will stop at the Khayrakan mountain, which is considered as very energetically powerful place. Local shamans come here once a year to get the energy and believe us everyone can feel the power of this place.
Today you will have picnic in the company of "Seven Sisters" - century old larch trees, growing from one root. After it we will see the ancient monument which is lonely situated in the steppe. It was named after Genghis Khan, our guide will tell you story about it.

In the evening we will reach Khakassia, where you will see the mountains with the fabulous cedar taiga. We will accommodate in the taiga camp "Snow Leopard" in the wooden houses. In the evening you will meet with local people who have a lot of knowledge of taiga, herbs and trees. The dinner will be served with traditional taiga dishes.

Seventh Day

After breakfast we walk to mountain “Lighthouse”, bridge of love and house of real hunter. This day you can spend doing nothing. You will enjoy the beauty and silence of taiga or even pick up the mushrooms or wild berries. After lunch you can try Russian Banya or "Phytosauna". In the evening we will offer you the diner cooked in open fire.

Eight Day

In the morning you can some special taiga SPA procedures or have a horse ride. After lunch we leave camp "Snow Leopard" and will continue our journey. We will make a stop near stone “Mother of Mothers”, local women believe if you want to have baby you have to bring the gift to the stone and ask about it.
By the noon we will arrive to the Kug valley where two great mountains Altay and Sayan joined together. Khakassian people call this valley "delight" and archeologists find here a lot of evidences of ancient cultures. We will accommodate again in yurts and after dinner will see folk performance.

Ninth Day

This day we will spend in State museum-reserve of Khakassia "Kasanovka". This is unique place where you can see many Kurgan barrows which cover a huge territory. The oldest Kurgan barrows were made in Early Bronze Age (more than 4000 years ago). There are many Scythian Kurgans in this territory. This is a place where you can touch the real history. It is hard to believe but you really will see petroglyphs 3-5 thousand years old. Besides, you’ll know the role of vertical stones which stay all around Khakassia and see real archaeological excavations.
After dinner you can have banya if you wish.

Tenth Day

After breakfast we will go to Abakan – the capital of Khakassia, where we visit the Republican Regional Museum. There is unique collection of stone statues in the museum; some of stones have shape of gods, animals and unknown creatures.
From Abakan we will go to "The Valley of Tsars", there are about 30 burial mounds aged from the IV-III century B.C. The culmination of the trip will be the Great Salbyk Mound which was built on the noble family’s grave and excavated by archaeologists in 1954-56. We will offer you lunch with a view to the Valley of the Tsars. After it we will be back to Krasnoyarsk.

Eleventh day

Breakfast and departure to airport.
